Overview
IMS Global encourages all Platform and Tool Providers to certify for LTI Advantage which contains LTI v1.3 and three extensions.
To complete LTI® Advantage Certification the three LTI extensions below are required in addition to LTI version 1.3:
- Deep Linking Service
- Names and Roles Service
- Assignments and Grade Services
To begin the certification process for LTI Advantage you must take the following steps:
- Your group must be an IMS Affiliate Member or IMS Contributing Member. Membership Details
- Your group must then implement the LTI 1.3 Specification and the three services that comprise the LTI Advantage suite
To pass the complete certification before November 2018 your group must take the following steps:
- The certification tests provided here for LTI 1.3 must be completed by a designated representative of the member organization, and you must agree that there is no misrepresentation or manipulation of results in the submitted results
- The certification tests provided here for each of the three additional extensions must be completed by a designated representative of the member organization, and you must agree that there is no misrepresentation or manipulation of results in the submitted results
- Finally you agree to submit the completed results to IMS Global for review
After IMS reviews your submitted information and notifies you that your application is approved, you can claim certification to IMS LTI Advantage and display the certification badge on your web site and in your software.
By completing and submitting the completed certification application form, you are agreeing that your submitted test results are an accurate depiction of your product and the version for which you are requesting certification. Note that certification is good for one year, after which you will need to renew your certification following the renewal procedures in place at that time.
